Ah wow, Can you believe the fairy took me on holiday with her. We went to San lameer for an entire week. It was blissful. It was a little cold in the afternoons and it even rained one of the days.

I loved it and it was so nice to be out the bag for a change and in my party dress. I haven't been out in so long, I was starting to feel unloved and neglected. But I am not and here are some photo's of the beach holiday and my run in with spider Monkey.

Love to everyone.

Friday 26 August 2011

Today it was the Fairy's birthday and she decided to take Nthando and I along for the adventure. It was a lovely day out. We ate breakfast at elevenfortyfive, had our picture taken with the guys from Vida-a caffe and then had some Cake at Post in Town. It was such a lovely day, the sun was shining, it was warm and I got to wear my brown strapless dress. I looked fabulous today. no more jearseys for me, spring is almost here.

I hope everyone has a great week end. Lots of Love in the world!!

Friday 15 July 2011

Well what can I say, I got to meet Action Man today. My heart was racing, my knees went weak and I am in total awe of my afternoon.

Today I had a studio photoshoot to show off my new outfits, with each outfit came hair colour changes, so I think some intense treatments are in order. But so worth it. The fairy felt she needed to make up for the fact that she didn't take me to Bombay Blues and the movie last night. I love Rosebank and felt a little out of sorts knowing I was forgotten. I heard the movie was intense and would have frightened me a little, so here it is clear that everything happens for a reason.

Below are shots from today's shoot. How Handsome is Action Man... melt, drool, fall over!! Those little bottles of colour are pretty special too, each colour holds meaning and pink is by far my favourite - LOVE!

Wishing you all a warm and happy week end filled with all the good things everyone so deserves. Don't forget to laugh and have fun while you at it!

Sunday 10 July 2011

So today was a wonderful day. I showed off my new pink hairdo and got to wear my pretty pink party dress. Last week I visited the hair dresser, had a make over and the fairy finally took me out to show it all off to the Joburg Photowalkers.

It was the closing of their exhibition and I was fortunate enough to have had a few photo's taken with them. They really are a lovely, warm group and I hope the fairy is doesn't keep me in the bag so much next time.

My motto for the day was "Love More". We all need it, cannot live without it and should hand out a little more to those around us.

I wish everyone a super week further, and don't forget that the nonsense is white noise. Don't take everything so seriously, play a little, laugh a little and never stop believing in love!

Sunday 12 June 2011

The Fairy was kind enough to take me on yet another photowalk. So kind that she felt it was necessary to put my bare bum on cold frosted grass, yes, you read right.... FROSTED Grass - ICE!! Glad I got that out the way before she caught me and hit the backspace key.... Right... where was I?

We met some other 'crazy enough to brave the cold' people at 6am at Emmerentia Dam. And this time I got to ride in the pocket. The sun rise was just amazing, the fairy did her, same old same old, make little stars out of light trick - getting old, but it still seems to amuse her. Moving along already.

We missioned that park, up and all around, in the leaves, by the dam, on the frost, up there, down here and all around.

There isn't really much more to tell, it was cold and I had a case of brain freeze. It was fun. And that kind of mission comes highly recommended.

Before I get shoved in the bag again, I would like to wish everyone a wonderful week ahead, Filled with fun, fantasy and good juju.

Wednesday 25 May 2011

This past Saturday I joined The Fairy and The Joburg Photowalkers on a walk through the "Old China Town" at the end of Commissioner Str in Central Jozi. What an awesome afternoom. It would be safe to say, it was almost as cool as spending an afternoon with C-3PO, and I say almost because I have a soft spot for famous Robots and I believe that there will be very few things that would top that!

Afternoon started off with meeting everyone in the parking lot at Sci-Bono. My Fairy finally took me out the bag, do you have any idea what it is like to be carried in a dark bag knowing that there are some fun things to do and see? Best I stop here incase I get put in the bag again. We decided to go with Jerome to pick his son, Matthew, up. I got to have my picture taken in a bucket held by a crane and at a soccer stadium with the most handsome lego construction workers I have ever seen *blush*. Hold me back! After that we were on our way.

The Handsome Construction workers

Next stop - Swallows Inn Chinese Restaurant for a nice, filling Chinese Buffet Lunch. I have it on good authority that this restaurant is the oldest there and it is still going. I was fortunate enough to have my photo taken by Jerome and his son set up a super set with the plates and chatted to an Origami bird. Such an amazing life. You know that those birds start out as flat paper squares?

The plate set and a random Cat.

Once we were all ready to be rolled out there, the rest of the afternoon was random snaps of things here and there. I visited a shop that sells Tea for just about every occasion, Detox tea, constipation tea, increase your libido tea, this tea and that tea. So much to choose from.

Even the tea agrees Im a True Beauty.

It was so wonderful to see a new place. I have been to the park, I have eaten in Linden, hung out with 4 armed Aliens and 8 legged spider monkeys. But this was an adventure I enjoyed very much. And it was so wonderful to feel so welcome and have people take an interest in me personally. I just hope that The Fairy carries me in a top pocket rather than by my one leg upside down. I know I loose my bling in a pocket, but really, my leg has a habit of falling off too. I hope The Fairy is reading this - hint hint.

This is me, signing off for this crazy Adventure of Miss Josephine. I hope to mingle with the crowd soon. Until then. Love and good juju for everyone.

This World of Beer is worth a visit by the way

Had to be photographed with Richard's snake Juice

Sunday 22 May 2011

Miss Josephine joined me on a portrait workshop yesterday. It was for the help portraits project that will be kicking off in September this year. The aim is to take 25 000 portraits of people in need, to get them printed and give them back. It is a wonderful initiative. Although a photo is a luxury, it is something that can be treasured forever.

The workshop was O.K. The real highlight of the day was playing with the kids and showing those kids there how gorgeous they really are and I think they had such a fun time. There were 2 in particular that won my heart and of course, Miss Josephine won the hearts of ALL Of them. My camera ended up in the hands of a 9 year old, and although my heart skipped a few beats, a natural talent lies inside that little girl, I was 'wowed' with her natural eye for composition and posing. I also met some wonderful people taking part in the project.

I am hoping to visit there again soon to drop off a special package for my 2 new friends, some fun photo's of their day. And I am sure Miss Josephine is too. She loves to be loved. And why wouldn't she be??

Check out: http://www.helpportrait.co.za/ for more info on the initiative in South Africa and for the not so South African readers: http://help-portrait.com/. It is a global initiative, so no matter where you are in the world, you can be a part of something pretty darn cool! Just putting this out there! :-)

These leaves - The prop for most of the photo's I took.
